In the south western part of Uganda lies the lush savannah of Queen Elizabeth National park within the Albertine Rift Valley.
Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world. The park encompasses open savannah, rain forest, dense papyrus swamps, Crater lakes and the vastness of Lake Edward. Almost 100 mammal species are present that includes Lion, Hippo, Buffalo, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephant and the elusive Giant Forest Hog plus remarkable 606 bird species. All this makes a superb safari.
DAY 1: To Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a brief stop at the equator with an opportunity to stand in both hemispheres at the same time. Drive to Mbarara the largest town in western Uganda where we stop for lunch. Proceed Mweya Safari Lodge with time relax before an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (F/B).

DAY 2: Game drive, Launch trip
Morning game driving to visit the Kasenyi area of the reserve where lions are to be seen. Return to Mweya Safari Lodge for lunch ant a short period of relaxation before embarking on an launch trip to explore the Kazinga Channel where hippo, and water birds are numerous. On return from the launch trip time permitting a short game drive will be conducted to watch the sunset. O/N: Mweya Safari Lodge (FB).
DAY 3: Chimpanzee trekking, to Kampala
Depart for the Kyambura Gorge to track Chimpanzees at first light. Leave for Mbarara to for a late lunch before continuing to Kampala to arrive late afternoon.
