Kidepo Valley National Park is one of the most spectacular parks where visitors will experience a real feeling of wilderness. It’s located in the far North East of Uganda sharing a border with both Sudan and Kenya. Being the fifth largest National Park in Uganda and covering an area of 1,442 square kms, the park offers a wonderful scenery with varied terrain consisting of mountains and savannah landscapes. The vegetation can be described as open tree savannah which varies much in structure and composition, dry mountain forest dominates some of the hills, while areas along the Narus river supports dense acacia forest.
The park is surrounded by the pastoral Karamojong communities and the Ik, a dying hunter-gatherer tribe.

PRE DEPARTURE DAY

Arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel in Entebbe.Dinner and Overnight (HB). This Safaris starts from Entebbe and Ends in Entebbe

DAY 1: Entebbe – Kidepo Transfer

Take a Private charter flight from Entebbe to the Kidepo park head quarters reaching in time for your lunch. After lunch, continue for your afternoon game drive. Expect to see; bat eared fox, striped hyena, Aardwolf, Caracal, and Cheetah. You will also be able to see the elusive greater and lessor kudu, chandler’s mountain reedbuck, Klipspringer and dik dik. Dinner and overnight (FB).

DAY 2 – Kidepo Valley NP – Game drive

Wake up early for a morning game drive whereafter you return for your breakfast. Expect to see the large ungulates like; bush pigs, bush elephants, burchell’s zebra, warthogs, Cape buffalo, eland, bushbuck, Rothschild giraffe and the bush duikers. Also there are carnivores that include the lion, leopard, several small cats, spotted hyena, black-backed jackals and the side- striped jackal. Return to the lodge for Lunch thereafter go for an evening game drive. Return and retire for Dinner and Overnight (FB).

DAY 3 – Kidepo Valley NP – Mountain hike

After breakfast go for a morning game drive, return and go for a hike on Lamoj Mountains just a few kilometers from the Park Headquarters. After lunch, take an excursion to a Karamajong village or visit the Kanangorok Hot Springs. Dinner and overnight (FB).
